Our historic 1908 Craftsman is a bit of a Sellwood landmark — known for the bright red sculptures out front. Tucked below, The Happy Place is your private suite: a cozy retreat with its own entrance, patio, and laundry, so you can settle in and make yourself at home.

We live upstairs, so you may see us out in the garden or sipping coffee on the porch. Feel free to wave — otherwise, the whole lower level is yours to enjoy.

  • Yes! You’ll have your own entry with a custom digital code, private laundry, and private patio.

  • The Happy Place sleeps up to four guests comfortably — with one queen bed (Casper mattress!) in the primary suite and one full-size bed in the second bedroom.

  • We love animals, but The Happy Place is a pet-free zone. This helps us keep the space fresh and comfortable for all guests, especially those with allergies.

  • We don’t have a full stove, but the kitchenette is well-stocked with two hot plates, a microwave, toaster, air fryer, fridge, and all the basics. Perfect for whipping up breakfast or light meals.

  • Yes, street parking is free and plentiful. The north side of the house almost always has a spot waiting for you.

  • Our cleaning fee is $120. It ensures your stay starts spotless and worry-free.

We’re Kim & Francisco — longtime Sellwood-Moreland locals, artists, and real estate brokers. Kim is a photographer, Francisco is a sculptor, and together we’ve created The Happy Place as an extension of who we are: creative, welcoming, and rooted in this neighborhood.

We live upstairs in our historic Craftsman with our two cats, but the suite is fully private. You’ll have your own entry, your own laundry, your own outdoor space — and if you need tips on the best local spots, we’re happy to share our favorites.
